Jeremy
Jeremy’s wife Melissa shares her memories from what would be the final trip their family took together in Queenstown, organised by the Trust. The holiday included a surprise helicopter flight to the top of glaciers and around Milford Sound.

My late husband and the father of our son, Jeremy, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. As the cancer progressed, we knew our time with him was limited.
In 2019, we learned about the White Matter Brain Trust through someone from an online support group who insisted we contact the trust and take what would be our final family holiday together.
We chose to go to Queenstown, and the White Matter Brain Trust took care of all the arrangements, including a surprise helicopter flight that landed on the top of glaciers, a private beach, and to Milford Sound – something Jeremy had always wanted to do.
At the time, our holiday felt like a typical family trip with some added extras – but looking back, it was much more than that. It was a special time for us, and the memories and photos we have will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Sadly, Jeremy passed away just four months later, at the age of 29. We will always be grateful for the White Matter Brain Cancer Trust and what they gave to us during such a difficult time.
