About the Walk

Our fun family-friendly walk is approximately 4.5km long, beginning at Original Sin on the Terrace and continuing along the banks of the Ōtākaro/Avon River. We wander past the Earthquake Memorial Wall and Boatsheds, through the Bridge of Remembrance and along the Promenade towards Margaret Mahy Family Playground, before turning around and ending back at Riverside Market.

The route is suitable for all ages, abilities, and four-legged friends – so be sure to spread the word and bring everyone along.

The team at Original Sin are kindly turning on their coffee machine early for our supporters. BYO reusable cup for a hot brew while you stroll.
